Mother Dog Studios is pleased to display Resilient, a site-specific installation by Michelle Matthews.
"The land pulses with stilled energy. Presence of powerful forces are evident in the monumental formations thrusted skyward. The jagged surfaces roll in suspended motion, fissures react to pressure from within creating tiny tendrils fracturing the once solid foundation. The harsh landscape is not nurturing but possesses a raw beauty that is tantalizing. Eruptions are a powerful force that have no boundaries, re configuring the landscape and inhabitants with no regret. Yet life returns, it is resilient."
